The salons feel a strong connection to environmental issues, and believe that environmental sustainability is the only responsible way of doing business. The Salt Lake salon is a member of the Salt Lake City Environmentally and Economically sustainable business program (e2), and is the only salon in Salt Lake with that distinction. 

Both Landis Salons are Visionaries in the Rocky Mountain Power Blue Sky program (the highest level of participation possible).  In 2010, our 51 blocks purchased for each salon supported a total of 81,600 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy.  The benefit of our participation in 2010 is equivalent to 101,081 miles not driven OR 1,169 trees planted.  Considering our Marmalade location was only open for 1/4 of 2010, the benefits of our participation will increase significantly in 2011.
